Step 1: Clean up the basics
Before chasing anything advanced, make sure your fundamentals are correct and consistent:
- Business name, address, phone, and website are identical across your site, Google Business Profile, and major directories.
- Your primary location is clearly listed in your homepage footer and contact page.
- Your services are described in plain language — not just branded jargon.
Step 2: Location-focused pages
Create specific pages for the cities or regions you serve, and treat each page like a mini home page for that area. Include:
- A clear headline that mentions the service and location.
- Short, specific copy about problems you solve for that market.
- FAQ sections with questions locals actually ask.
- Internal links back to your main service pages.
Step 3: Structure for answer engines
Once the copy is in place, layer AEO and GEO structure on top:
- Use schema markup for LocalBusiness and Service where appropriate.
- Add FAQ schema for location-specific questions.
- Link your location pages together and back to your contact page.
